The FABRE DC-S™ was released in 1977 as the successor to the FABRE BL™. The name FABRE itself comes from the abbreviation of the basketball term, "fast break". At the time, the FABRE DC-S™ utilized cushioning and outsole construction never used before. The new FABRE DC-S™ combines elements from the original shoe and some of Japan's most popular basketball shoes today.
