Proper nutrition and replenishing of nutrients is always a big topic in running publications.  I'm not about to give you expert advice on how to properly fuel for you next race, I just wanted to talk about the different ways athletes use nutrition products.  What is your best refueling method?  What works for you?  I guess it all depends what type of runner / athlete you are and what types of races you are competing in.  What type of product do you prefer for your long workouts - gels, shot blocks, bars, drink mixes?  I personally use a combination.  For marathons, my routine is a PowerBar Bar before the race (anything more substantial than that and I'm sure to want to throw up after mile 3!), two Vanillia PowerBar Gels during the race (along with water on the course), and some type of recovery drink after the race (the type of drink depends on what I happen to have with me that day).  That works for me.  My favorite part of the entire routine is the end / recovery fuel.  The PowerBar Recovery Drink tastes pretty good and it seems to help my body start the muscle repairing process.  So....  what's your nutrition story?

Here are the nutrition products we have to offer?  (PowerBar, Cliff, GU)

PS... I'm also a big fan of the shot blocks.  I love that you don't need a lot of water when you use them.   - Kishan
